Especially crossing the oceans and Patagonia, my wife Monique (58) and I (77) managed Red Max double handed. Of course there was a third crew on board, our Raymarine Evolution autopilot, steering the boat day and night miraculously well without any fallout.

Twin rudders were a great help in this respect, Red Max was under control every moment crossing the hugh waves of the southern Capes.
 

All lines were handled from within the cockpit when reefing or trimming.
 

And of course, AIS helped us out avoiding collisions with other ships.
